Feminist Wrestlers Are The Real Life GLOW

MEET the all-ladies wrestling development and the lady behind it who conquered a breakdown and being separated to put on the greatest ladies' wrestling appear in Europe. Once per month at the Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green a rosta of roughly 12 female wrestlers venture into the 16ft by 16ft wrestling ring to chokeslam, dropkick and possibly moonsault each other; all for the sake of amusement – and women's liberation. In a dark vest, with a stun of neon pink hair, Emily Read gets the group going at an EVE expert wrestling evening: "Would we say we are prepared to have a decent time? Are we prepared for some wrestling?" Emily, 32, helped to establish EVE in 2009 with her at that point accomplice, now-spouse, Dann, who she met on the advancing circuit. Needing to give female wrestlers a stage to be the headliner instead of the swimsuit clad side fascination, Emily and Dann started EVE, "an all ladies' Pro Wrestling Promotion" with a "grass roots punk vibe".
