Shreya RL Shah is the daughter of unofficial wife of then-prince Dhirendra Shah. Dhirendra never officially accepted her mother, as his wife. After Dhirendra divorced Prekhsya RL Shah, the sister of then queen Aishwarya Shah, he married Jaya in Dakshinkali temple. Jaya gave birth to Shreya after a year of the marriage. The birth certificate mentions Dhirendra Shah as the father.
